Get Away to Luxury This Spring
Spend some time this spring recharging at one of our Estes Park spring cabins. Whether you book a week over spring break or come for an extended time, spring is a beautiful season to visit Estes Park.
Our modern cabins are situated along the shores of Lake Estes, boasting sweeping views of the water and surrounding mountains. Our cabins are built to take full advantage of the surrounding scenery, with open great rooms that feature two-story windows from floor to ceiling. Our spacious and airy great rooms offer ample room for spending time together, with comfortable modern furnishings in the living room and an adjacent fully equipped kitchen. Upgraded appliances and all the cookware and cutlery needed for preparing and cooking meals is provided, making it easy to enjoy meals together before or after your adventures around town or in the national park. Though temperatures become milder during the spring months, the grand stone fireplace in each great room offers cozy warmth for cuddling up each evening.
Catch up on some much-needed sleep in the cabin’s master suite. Take your pick when you stay in our spring cabins, which each boasts two masters! One is located upstairs with an adjacent loft area overlooking the great room, while the other is located on the main level. An additional pull-out bed is provided, allowing each of our cabins to accommodate a total of eight guests.
Go Bird Watching
Estes Park and the nearby Rocky Mountain National Park can be a bird lover’s paradise. Sightings of more than 270 species of birds have been reported in the local area in the past century, some just stopping in on their travels and others dwelling here year-round. Visitors to Rocky Mountain National Park may spy various owls, woodpeckers, hummingbirds, waterfowl, birds of prey, and much, much more. An excellent place to birdwatch that is convenient to our spring cabins is at the Reeser Wildlife Sanctuary, situated along the western end of Lake Estes. Keep an eye out for migrant warblers in the spring! Gravel and paved trails winding their way through the area provide a pleasant place to stroll while taking in wildlife scenes.
Go Fish
Nothing says getting back to nature quite like catching your own fish. And you have your pick of places to do so in Estes Park. For example, Rocky Mountain National Park allows sport fishing in certain open waters, and there are catch and release waters if you want all the fun of catching a fish with none of the work you would have to do afterward to prepare it. There’s no fishing license required at places such as Trout Haven Fishing Pond, where equipment rentals are available onsite, and you pay as you catch! Even if warm weather has yet to thaw the ground and water, Trout Haven offers ice fishing experiences.
Rejuvenate Yourself with a Day at the Spa
As spring is the season of renewal, it’s the perfect time of year to renew yourself with a visit to the spa! Renters of our cabins are granted full access to the Estes Park Resort’s facilities, and that includes the spa services available there. Spa treatment rooms are located right off the resort’s indoor pool area, with numerous massages and wraps available. Purge your body of toxins, exfoliate and come out feeling re-energized when you stay in one of our cabins for rent in Estes Park, CO!
Take It Easy with Golf
Staying with us at Mountain Village at Lake Estes means staying close to two breathtakingly gorgeous golf courses. There’s the Estes Park Golf Course, an 18-hole golf course that’s been around for a century and looks as stunning as ever. And there’s the Lake Estes Golf Course, a 9-hole winter golf experience that you can still catch if you come in the first half of spring. The Lake Estes Golf Course opens in the wintry month of November and remains open until mid-April.
Take a Hike
Depending on the timing of your spring getaway, snow could still be on the ground in Estes Park. Whether the trails or clear or they’re still layered with snowfall, residents, and visitors still find joy in hitting the trails. Lingering snow offers the chance to try something new on your hike, such as the locally popular activity of snowshoeing!
