Trailhead Restaurant

Fuel up before your Rocky Mountain National Park adventures or recount the day’s tales over a meal at Trailhead Restaurant, located near the park’s Fall River Road entrance. If you’re indulging in a meal before your adventures, the scenery surrounding the restaurant gives a sneak peek of what’s to come.

Built of sturdy rock and thick wooden beams, the exterior of the Trailhead Restaurant is that of a mountain cabin. The atmosphere continues inside with wood-paneled walls and vaulted ceilings. Those details easily go unnoticed as eyes are drawn to the wall of large windows overlooking the pine tree-studded hills beyond. The Trailhead Restaurant serves up great mountain-style cuisine and adds stunning views to go along with it. When the weather is nice, snag a seat on the outdoor deck for unobstructed mountain vistas.

Trailhead Restaurant’s Menu

Start your day out with an array of traditional breakfast items convenient to the hiking and scenery within Rocky Mountain National Park. Dishes such as eggs, pancakes, omelets, and French toast alongside a steaming cup of coffee provide all the fuel you’ll need for setting out on one of the epic trails found in the park. Later in the day, refuel with the variety of items found on the lunch and dinner menu, such as burgers, wraps, salads, and sandwiches. A bowl of their homemade chili or elk stew is the perfect way to warm up on a cold winter day! Their gourmet burgers offer a suggested pairing with one of the regionally brewed beers from their Old West log bar. Go with the Trailhead Mountain Man Burger, a combination of elk, venison, wild boar, and buffalo topped with olive tapenade, chipotle, and barbeque sauce and paired with an Estes Park Stout for a true Colorado mountain experience! Another favorite is the generous portion of fish and chips served alongside crispy fries.
