This no-frills restaurant serves breakfast and lunch classics to the hungry locals and tourists who saunter through its doors every day. The friendly, laid-back atmosphere and hefty portions make this a great spot to start the day before you begin your excursions around Estes Park. Additionally, the menu at Mountain Home Café is quite impressive, so it might take you a while to choose something to eat.

Mountain Menu

On any given day, visitors who enter the Mountain Home Café early in the morning will see a mix of locals eating breakfast or having coffee before work as well as hikers and explorers filling up before heading into the mountains. Of course, the kitchen is busy creating short-order masterpieces which include dishes such as pancakes, French toast, waffles, skillets, omelets and eggs benedict. The traditional breakfast includes two eggs made any style served with hash browns, toast, sausage and/or bacon, while the Mountain Home Scrambler adds spicy chorizo, green peppers, tomato and cheddar cheese.

At lunch, the menu has an array of appetizers, salads, soups, sandwiches, burgers and a ‘South of the Border’ selection which includes a southwestern quesadilla, a deluxe burrito, a torta sandwich and a massive taco salad. The sandwiches at Mountain Home Café also serve as a superb to-go option with traditional sandwiches such as the Monte Cristo, French Dip, Reuben, Turkey-Avocado BLT and a tasty tuna salad.

In terms of beverages, the restaurant offers the usual range of breakfast and lunch drinks, from orange juice and coffee in the morning to soda and seltzer for lunch.

Two Decades of Service

Since 1998, Mountain Home Café has served the hungry denizens and tourists who visit Estes Park for more than two decades. Inside, there are plenty of wooden tables that typically seat four guests while the walls contain a few booths which provide more comfortable cushioned seating. When the weather allows it, guests can also take a seat outside on the spacious patio to dine in the cool Colorado elements.

How to Arrive at Mountain Home Café
