2021 Catch the Glow Parade at Estes Park

The holidays always promise to be busy. From all of the vacation trips and visits to friends and family, the season is full of good cheer and togetherness. Before that all really gets underway, though, people tend to have a nice, relaxing kickoff to the season with a quiet feast at home with friends and family. When you’re traveling for the holiday, you’ll be able to do just that at one of our gorgeous rentals, and when you’ve finished Thanksgiving Day off, jump right into the holidays with us at the 2021 Catch the Glow Parade!

Estes Park wastes no time getting their Christmas spirit going, because this holiday parade happens the day after Thanksgiving, making the 2021 date fall on November 26th. You’ll have plenty of time to prepare after your Thanksgiving Day, because the Catch the Glow Parade doesn’t get underway until 5:30 PM, right as the sun starts to set and the parade can really shine through the streets.

What to Expect During the 2021 Catch the Glow Parade

Every year, as many as 20,000 people make their way into town to feast their eyes on this local spectacle, watching more than 40 different groups march down the streets and show everybody what they’ve got. You’ll be able to see all different kinds of stylized floats that are handcrafted by the people of Estes Park and other nonprofits, as well as marching bands and other specialty vehicles like fire trucks.

Spend as much time watching the parade as you’re comfortable with, and if you get hungry there will be plenty of places for you to stop in while you’re celebrating in Downtown Estes Park. Grab a snack or enjoy dinner with the family while you enjoy this one-of-a-kind holiday parade.

If you’re bringing the kids along, there will also be an opportunity for them to visit Santa and get a picture with the big man himself in the heart of downtown.

Transportation

If you didn’t rent or bring a car along for your trip, and don’t feel like making the walk to downtown, Estes Transit will be providing a free trolley service that parade goers can make use of. It will be running from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and runs a 20-minute loop with multiple stops along local hotspots around downtown with close proximity to the parade.

Your Post Parade Suite

After you’ve spent the day downtown enjoying the kickoff of the Christmas season with the parade, your private winter cabin in Estes Park will be there waiting for you. With a portfolio boasting rentals of all sizes, you and your group will be able to stay in comfort while enjoying that scenic, Rocky Mountain backdrop.
